Chairman of the Board of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, held a meeting with a delegation from the Norwegian Equinor A.S.A. company, headed by Alessandri Cook, Vice President of the company, to boost cooperation with major international oil companies (IOCs) for developing the oil industry in Libya, NOC cited in a press release.
The delegation also included Paul McCafferty, company’s Head of Exploration and Production, and Lindsay Gunaway, Head of Production. During the meeting, Sanalla underlined Libya’s keenness to cooperate with IOCs in a bid to enhance the oil industry, exchange expertise, rehabilitate the damaged oilfields, build capabilities, coordinate technical training programs, improve the efficiency of the oil industry workers and push the country’s development forward.
For his part, Alessandri Cook highlighted his company’s goals to expand new horizons of cooperation in investments and to study chances of oil and gas fields development. He also affirmed that there are numerous opportunities for investment in Libya as a promising market.
