Libya plans to increase oil output from its existing fields to reach 1.4 million barrels per day (b/d) by the end of 2019 and 2.1 million b/d by 2023, according to the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Zawya reported.
Meanwhile, Mustafa Sanalla, the company’s Chairman has warned that the war in the North African nation can threaten the expansion plans, according to the company.
It was reported in March that Libyan crude production increased from around 900,000 b/d to 1.2 million b/d, according to Sanalla.
