Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) plans to establish a new oil refinery in South of Kuwait, CEO Mohammed Al-Mutairi has said, Reuters reported.

KNPC is also looking to the capacity of clean fuel projects in existing oil refineries, and refineries under construction such as al-Zour.

Al-Zour refinery is planned to be one of the biggest refineries in the Middle East.
