Kuwait and Iraq have selected a consultant to estimate the oil reserves in the areas on the border between the two countries, Reuters reported.
The two countries will discuss production policies depending on the oil production assessment, Thamir Ghadhban, Iraqi Oil Minister, said on the meeting of the Organization of the Arab Petroleum Countries (OAPEC).
OAPEC held its 101st meeting on December 23 in Kuwait to increase the cooperation among member countries in all petroleum aspects.
