The Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources stated that it is going into discussions with the Iraqi authorities about renewing the Memorandum of Standing (MoU) signed between Jordan and Iraq to supply oil, Petra new agency reported.
According to an anonymous source from the ministry, the two sides are currently negotiating some provisions of the MoU. The imports of Iraqi oil comes within the framework of MoU signed between the two countries in 2019 stating that Jordan imports 10,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) which covers 7% of the daily needs in the kingdom.
