Iraq, Schlumberger Sign Partnership Contract to Support Drilling Services

Iraq’s Ministry of Oil announced that it has signed a partnership contract with Schlumberger to support drilling services for oilfield operators in Iraq.

Bassem Abdel Karim, the Head of Iraqi Drilling Company (IDC), said that Schlumberger will use its expertise and new technology to enhance the employees and upgrade the petroleum sector to keep pace with industrial development in the global oil and gas market.

Abdel Karim emphasized the importance of cooperation between international oil companies to optimize oilfield drilling and development activities.
