The production from Iran’s West Karoun oilfields have increased, reaching 300,000 barrels per day (b/d), the Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh was quoted saying by the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA), Zawya reported citing Reuters.

The field’s production capacity was around 70,000 b/d five years ago, Zanganeh said.

Karoun oilfield is located in southwest Iran.
