Iran plans to increase its natural gas production capacity to 1 billion cubic meters per day (bcm/d) starting from March 21, Oil and Gas Middle East citing the Iranian President’s website.
Iran’s domestic consumption of natural gas approximately reached 600 million cubic meters (mmcm), according to the Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani.
It is worth noting that Iran has shown impressive stability in its Energy sector by expanding its natural gas grid with a $1.5 billion worth of investments, despite the US sanctions. Not only that, but the sanctions have benefited Iran’s economy and increased its oil products exports.
