Huawei Digital Power, MCV Energy Seal Strategic Partnership in Egypt

Huawei Digital Power has announced the signing of a strategic partnership contract with MCV Energy to distribute the company’s digital energy solutions portfolio in the Egyptian market, in line with the endeavor of both companies to build smart, low-carbon societies based on information and communications technology.

The agreement was signed by Jim Liu, CEO of Huawei Egypt; Karim Ghabbour, CEO of MCV Group; and Wagdy Elias, CEO of MCV Energy, in the presence of a group of officials from the two companies, led by Joey Deng, CEO of Digital Power Business at Huawei Egypt.

This agreement represents a strong boost to the efforts of the two companies within the framework of their joint commitment to providing smart and integrated energy solutions more easily and at a lower cost.

Huawei Digital Power works to combine digital technologies and power electronics to provide low-carbon, safe, seamless and clean solutions for end users. The company’s digital energy solutions portfolio includes smart, environmentally friendly and low-carbon data centers, electric power chargers for cars and buses, iSitePower smart energy solutions, smart PV solutions, FusionSolar and others.

Commenting on this agreement, Jim Liu, CEO of Huawei Egypt, explained: “Our cooperation with a leading company such as MCV Energy is an important step to confirm our continuous commitment towards digitizing various strategic sectors and supporting the Egyptian government’s work in expanding dependence on green energy and Egypt’s Sustainable Energy Strategy 2035.”

“MCV is interested in reducing emissions to preserve the environment by activating important principles: investing in renewable energy, promoting energy-saving practices, and adopting clean energy technologies. Therefore, MCV is heading to support all markets with environmentally friendly products, it is worth pointing out that MCV participated in the last climate conference COP27 with environmentally friendly solutions to serve society and achieve sustainability, Ghabbour commented.

The strategic partnership between MCV Energy and Huawei Digital Power comes within a package of strategies aimed at maintaining sustainability and providing solutions to use modern technology to preserve the environment and support energy in line with MCV Energy’s vision to reduce carbon and supporting research and development in the field of digital energy solutions, Elias noted.

For his part, Deng said that Huawei Digital Power seeks to strengthen partnerships, and through this cooperation, the company seeks to enhance work with its partners to support the energy sector in Egypt by providing the latest digital energy solutions. This will support Egypt’s ambitious goals to accelerate its reliance on renewable energy, he added.
