House of Representative Approves 12 E&P Bills

The Egyptian House of Representative passed 12 exploration and production (E&P) bills that allow the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to sign contracts with different oil and gas E&P companies, Al-Ahram reported.

The approvals included:

Signing a contract with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Thawra Petroleum Company to amend the commitment agreement for oil exploration and production in East Abu Sennan area at the Western Desert according to the law no.131 of 2014.

Signing a contract between the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), Total E&P Offshore Western Desert B.V Company, BG Delta Limited Company, Kufpec Egypt Limited and Thawra Petroleum Company SAE for oil and gas E&P in North Ras Kanayes offshore concession at the Mediterranean.

An agreement between EGAS company, BG Delta Limited company, Nobel Energy Egypt IBV and Thawra SAE petroleum company for E&P activities in North Marina offshore at the Mediterranean.

Signing an agreement between the companies of EGAS, BG Delta Limited , Nobel Energy Egypt IBV and Thawra Petroleum Company SAE for oil and gas E&P in North Cleopatra at the Mediterranean.

Another agreement between companies of EGAS, Chevron Egypt Holdings CPTE Limited, and Thawra SAE for E&P operations in Narges offshore concession at the Mediterranean.

A contract between EGAS, Chevron Egypt Holdings B PTE Limited, and Thawra SAE for E&P activities in Al Dabaa offshore concession at the Mediterranean.

An agreement between  EGAS, Chevron Egypt Holdings APTE Limited, and Thawra SAE for E&P operations in Sidi Barrani area at the Mediterranean.

Another contract between EGAS, BP Exploration Delta Limited, and Thawra Petroleum for E&P activities in North Salloum at the Mediterranean.

Signing an E&P contract between EGAS and Edison International SPA for amending commitment agreement issued according to the law no.74 of 2006 in the north of Al Amreya Concession at the Mediterranean.

An E&P agreement between South Valley Holding Company, Chevron Egypt Holdings DPTE Limited company, and Thawra Petroleum company in block 1 at the Red Sea.

Another project law has been passed for E&P agreement between South Valley Holding Company, Shell Exploration and Production 93 BV, Mubadala LNG Holding RSC Limited and Thawra Petroleum Company  in block 4 in the Red Sea.

The last bill that the has been approved was for a contract between agreement Ganoub El Wadi Holding Company (Ganope), Shell Exploration and Production 93 BV Company and Thawra Petroleum Company for E&P operations in block 3 in the Red Sea.
