Gazprom Produced 238.4 bcm of Gas in Six Months

Preliminary figures show that from January to June 2022, Gazprom produced 238.4 billion cubic meters of gas. Comparing this to the same period last year, there has been a decline of 8.6 cents (or 22.4 billion cubic meters).

The Company’s domestic gas transmission system supplies were comparable to those from the same time last year.

In comparison to the same period in 2021, gas shipments to nations outside the FSU totaled 68.9 billion cubic meters, a decrease of 31% (or 31 billion cubic meters). Gas is delivered by Gazprom in accordance with verified requests.

Within the framework of the long-term bilateral agreement between Gazprom and CNPC, the volume of gas exported to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline keeps increasing.

As of June 29, 31.9 billion cubic meters of gas reserves were added to Europe’s underground gas storage facilities, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE). To restore the UGS facilities to the levels seen at the beginning of the 2019-2020 withdrawal period, businesses will need to inject an additional 40.5 billion cubic meters of gas into them.

According to the first preliminary assessment, there was a 24 billion cubic meter decrease in global gas consumption in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. Within the period of 2022, gas consumption decreased by 27 billion cubic meters across the 27 nations that make up the European Union. As a result, a major element contributing to the fall in global consumption was the EU’s lower gas demand.

It should be remembered that during the first half of 2022, Russian pipeline gas supplies to China increased by 63.4%.
