Gasco’s Plant Obtains Approval form EGAC

Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) announced that its chemical lab in the Western Desert Gas Complex obtained an approval from the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) for applying the international standard of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 in natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) testing, according to a press release.

This standard includes requirements for the quality management system (ISO 9001) in addition to technical conditions related to performance efficiency of the lab.

Moreover, the lab succeeded in the Proficiency Testing Scheme for natural gas and LNG which is organized by the British EffecTech Company praising the efficiency of the workers and the accuracy of the devices inside the plant.

This comes in line with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ vision to get the optimum economic benefits from all the country’s resources to contribute in turning Egypt into a regional hub for trading oil and natural gas.
