Louisiana Governor, John Bel Edwards, stated that ExxonMobil Company is studying to invest more than $240 million in Baton Rouge refinery, from which it is producing 517,700 barrels per day (b/d), Reuters reported.
He elaborated that Exxon is planning to conduct several projects to increase flexibility in crude oils that refinery can process as well as to reduce the refinery pollution.
For his part, Jeremy Eikenberry, the Spokesman of Exxon, said that, “ the projects under evaluation would enable the processing of domestic crudes and help reduce emissions.”
