Egyptian Upstream Gateway (EUG) has held a workshop aimed to promote and market a recent international bid round launched by the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) through the gateway. The tender includes 12 onshore and offshore blocks for natural gas exploration in the Mediterranean Sea and the Nile Delta.

The workshop witnessed the participation of more than 25 international and Egyptian companies specialized in oil and gas exploration and production in attendance of several petroleum leaders.

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, emphasized the significance of the workshop in facilitating direct communication with companies to showcase the opportunities and areas on offer, while also promoting a unique marketing approach that highlights their investment value. He expressed optimism that the workshop would assist companies in making informed investment decisions.

Badawi further noted that the petroleum sector is committed to fostering a favorable investment environment for partners and optimizing the utilization of gas and petroleum resources. This has been achieved through several parallel initiatives, including the introduction of new incentives and the implementation of practical solutions for settling arrears.
