The Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (ETHYDCO) has conducted a successful second-level fire drill, according to Al-Ahram.

The drill explored emergency tactics in case a fire-based biotin leak occurred in a polyethylene plant. The company showed a quick response following the correct reporting mechanism; rapidly evacuating the facility and maintaining good coordination between all parties involved. Mohamed Ali Hassanein, ETHYDCO’s Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, affirmed that the company is keen to conduct such drills from time to time to withstand possible accidents and various emergency situations. He added that training workers on emergency drills maintain both safety, assets, and property.
