Field Best Practices Tackled at EOG Upstream Convention

The second round of technical workshops within the Egypt Oil & Gas (EOG) 2nd Upstream Operational Excellence Convention’s first day agenda, on December 2, included four presentations on Egypt’s field best practices.

The workshop included a case study from Qarun on oil wells’ performance enhancement by using downhole injection, and a case study on the design, implementation, and quality control of scale inhibition squeeze in wells in the Gulf of Suez, by the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO). Gempetco has also disclosed its operational excellence program, while Khalda presented its drilling performance optimization.

The workshop session was concluded with different roundtable discussions in which attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the presentations in depth with their respective presenters.
