Enppi has successfully completed the desulfurization facility in the Arabian Gulf region, which aims to produce 435 million barrels per day (mmbbl/d) of sulfur-free water for wells’ injection, according to a statement.
According to the statement, this is the first project of its kind that utilizes nanotechnology for sulfur removal, noting that it is one of the most advanced methods of extracting sulfur. This project comes in line with Enppi’s plans to keep up with the latest technology as well as expanding its scope of work in the petroleum, petrochemicals and mining industries inside and outside Egypt.
The project aligns with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ framework to encourage the external expansion of Egyptian companies.
