The Egyptian Linear Alkyl Benzene Company (ELAB) has appointed Egypt Gas to manage its new expansion projects under the EPC system after a competitive evaluation among various companies in the petroleum sector.
This decision follows the completion of a technical and financial study aimed at increasing the storage capacity for linear alkyl benzene (LAB), benzene, and paraffin products.
The project includes the establishment of warehouses with a capacity of 22,000 tons of final and intermediate products as well as the infrastructure needed for future projects in addition to a fire extinguishing network for the entire area of the new expansions.
The project is one of the projects carried out by ELAB to increase production capacity in the coming period. Completing the project will also help absorb shocks resulting from changes in global product prices, overcome the challenges of supply chains and give the necessary flexibility to choose the best time to sell at the best prices.
