Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, participated in the session of the African Energy and Economy Forum, within the activities of the CERAWeek International Energy Conference, the ministry said in a statement.
The talks involved a practical view of the issues of energy transition and how the transition to clean energy ensures technology that is widely available, secure, and flowing and supply chains that can be relied upon.
The session’s speakers included US Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm; Amani Abu Zeid, Commissioner for Energy and Infrastructure of the African Union; heads of a number of international oil and energy companies operating in African countries, and officials of a number of international and African financing institutions.
