Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla met with the Co-Founder & Director of Lotus Gold Corporation Mike Silver and the accompanying delegation to discuss the company’s ambitious projects for gold exploration in several concession areas which the company had won in the Eastern Desert of Egypt through an international bid round.

The delegation showcased the company’s progress in the exploration gold operation and ongoing drilling as well as the used technologies to reach the best results. The company has been awarded ten concession areas in the first and second rounds of the bid round. 

Company officials stated that they are implementing an ambitious plan to accelerate the work pace and intensify the gold exploration and discovery operations,  in addition to using latest technologies for successful drilling. 

The delegate said that the company’s investment expenditures in Egypt reached $8 million since starting its operations in Egypt reflecting its enthusiasm for achieving fast success in the county. 

The officials stressed on their commitment to the environmental standards during the company’s mining operations through using solar energy as well as applying the utmost health and safety measures in the working sites besides the expansion in the social responsibility projects. 

For his part, El Molla praised the company’s enthusiasm and its efforts to accelerate working pace and achieve positive results.
