El Molla Inspects ERC and EGPC Control Rooms

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla inspected the progress of work in the central control rooms of the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC).

On this occasion, he highlighted the importance of digital transformation efforts in the management and control of refinery systems, in addition to its application in the transportation and distribution of petroleum products.

El Molla confirmed that building an automated monitoring and control system is a milestone for Egypt’s petroleum industry and the cadres working in it who have gained important experience.

The minister emphasized the importance of increasing the security of reserves and supplies of petroleum products on all axes, vital roads, and geographical areas, and intensifying traffic operations at warehouses, stations, and pipelines throughout the Eid al-Adha holidays and beyond.

El Molla also listened to a presentation on the operating status of refineries during the current and next months and the progress of work on the second phase of the Linear Programming Systems (LP) group.

He followed up on preparations for transportation, distribution, and marketing companies to implement plans drawn up to secure petroleum supplies to all regions and sectors during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
