Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla inaugurated a full service fueling station affiliated with Misr Petroleum and Gastec.
This station will supply liquid fuel, natural gas fuel, and electric car charging services and was launched on Abdel Khalek Tharwat street in Downtown Cairo, after the completion of its development and adding natural gas fueling to its services.
After the inauguration, El Molla stated that the expansion of natural gas fueling stations is one of the robust solutions in the ministry ‘s strategy to boost and encourage using this economic fuel.
The ministry’s strategy works on securing natural gas in different ways and spheres to make it easier for car drivers, the minister pointed out.
The number of gas-fueling stations increased to 923 in the time being, compared to 203 stations at the beginning of 2021, at the start of the presidential initiative.
The minister inspected the services provided in the station. El Molla also listened to the explanation of the two operating companies’ chairmen.
The station has a storage capacity of benzene with octane levels of 92 and 95-estimated at around 135,000 liters, Misr Petroleum Chairman Mohammed Maged stated.
Moreover, the station serves 1,100 vehicles daily through four natural gas filling points, Gastec Chairman Abdelfattah Farahat noted.
