A press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated that Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, met with Norway’s Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Energy and Norwegian delegation in order to discuss bilateral economic relations in the field of oil and gas.
El Molla highlighted the investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector in Egypt. He praised the cooperation between the Egyptian sector and a number of Norwegian firms in the field of natural gas including the use of 2 Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRUs) owned by Höegh, and Norwegian-Singaporean BW Group. He further pointed out the involvement of Norwegian BGS Company in 2D and 3D seismic surveys and data processing.
Meanwhile, Norway’s Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Energy reviewed Norwegian abilities and expertise and its technologies which helps Norwegian firms to expand and increase investments in the Egyptian market. She also pointed out the importance of boosting the cooperation between Norwegian and Egyptian oil companies along with technology and service providers.
