Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla met with Geyushi Motors Chairman Mohy El Din Geyushi and an accompanying delegation to discuss cooperation with natural gas companies, with a specific focus on the expertise and technical support required for the production of natural gas vehicles (NGVs).

El Molla highlighted the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to strengthening the coordination between government ministries and the private sector to expand the use of NGVs.

Minister of Petroleum also expressed his confidence in state-owned natural gas companies, represented by the Natural Gas Vehicles Company (Car Gas) and the Egyptian International Gas Technology Company (Gastec), for their great technical expertise in vehicle fuel conversions.

For his part, Geyushi expressed his happiness with this cooperation. Furthermore, he commended the active role played by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and its companies in continually expanding natural gas fueling stations.

The meeting was attended by Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) Chairman Magdy Galal, his deputy for planning and projects Ahmed Mahmoud, Assistant Minister for Transportation and Distribution of Petroleum Products Mahmoud Nagy, Geyushi Motors Vice President Khaled Geyushi, and Geyushi Motors’ General Manager of Sales & Marketing Tamer Effat.
