The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, has chaired a meeting of the committee tasked with transforming Egypt into a regional energy trading hub, Amwal Al Ghad reported.
El Molla stated during the meeting that the process will be carried out using a scientific and analytical approach, and reemphasized the project’s importance for enhancing both Egypt’s economy and its regional role.
The participants reviewed the infrastructure projects carried out within the framework of the strategy. Such projects include the construction of a sea berth in the Sokhna area, the development of refineries to raise the quality of petroleum products, and the development of the national gas and petroleum grid.
