Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has met with Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), during a tour of companies’ pavilions and country exhibitions at COP28.

In the meeting, El Molla and Birol expressed their admiration for the conducive participation demonstrated by the pavilions of countries and companies, which showcased work to reduce emissions and achieve environmental compatibility for the industrial sector.

Moreover, the two leaders praised the solidarity of the participants and their support for common goals, which include increasing the production capacity of renewable energy sources and doubling the rate of improving energy efficiency.
