Butane refilling factories owned by the Petroleum Gas Company (Petrogas) will be operating at full capacity during the Eid break following the request of petroleum minister Tarek El Molla, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The factories will provide 50,000 cylinders to cover household demand during the break, which will extend until June 18. Gas distribution company Butagasco will also work at full capacity during the period.

The ministry’s main operations room will supervise the distribution of fuel to stations across Egypt throughout the day.

Emergency fuel supply tankers will also be available on highways to provide stations with additional fuel.

The plans were announced during a meeting between El Molla and ministry officials.
