Egypt’s MSIT: Bakeries Will Not Be Affected by New Diesel Prices

Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Meselhy announced that bakeries will not be affected by the new prices of diesel, noting that bread prices will be the same.

He added that the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) will bear the difference in diesel costs for the owners of the subsidized municipal bakeries that run on diesel fuel.

It should be noted that Egypt’s Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee has increased the fuel prices for Q3 2022. Diesel fuel prices increased to EGP 7.25 per liter.
