Egypt is expected to continue exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) by December 2023 or January 2024, according to a Reuters report quoting Cristian Signoretto, Director for Eni’s global gas and LNG portfolio.
Signoretto elaborated that this will occur as the country’s domestic consumption decreases in winter and as Egypt receives more gas from Israel.
“Consumption in Egypt is reducing and we would expect by December, possibly January (LNG), exports could resume,” Signoretto stated on the sidelines of a conference in London.
