The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) implemented an advanced training program sponsored by Baker Hughes for the graduates of the second batch of the Young and Middle Management Program in the Petroleum Sector at Baker Hughes University in Florence, Italy, with the participation of 25 young cadres.
This took place under the directives of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi.
The program included a range of specialized courses aimed at developing and enhancing the participants’ expertise both scientifically and practically. Key areas of focus included project management, the use of hydrogen as an alternative fuel, transitioning to more environmentally friendly and low-carbon energy solutions, and understanding the impact of international policies on various energy markets.
The program included hands-on experience at Baker Hughes’ hydrogen testing labs, inspection of turbine and compressor component manufacturing stages, visits to production and assembly lines, and tours of the research and development lab and the remote control and monitoring center. Additionally, participants learned about the latest advancements in hydrogen projects.
This initiative is part of the Ministry’s efforts to invest in human capital as a cornerstone for success in implementing development and production projects. It aims to enhance the scientific and practical skills of Egyptian petroleum professionals and leverage strategic partnerships between the petroleum sector and international partners to provide these promising talents with opportunities to gain knowledge and experience in emerging fields using advanced methodologies.
