The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, announced that the Egyptian oil and gas relations with Iraq face no obstacles that could delay the agreement with the Iraqi side to send 2bb/m of crude, a press release to Egypt Oil&Gas informed. El Molla added that the negotiations are still ongoing and the contract will be signed soon.
The minister met with the Iraqi Ambassador to Egypt, Habib Al Sadr, and they reviewed the latest updates regarding the contract signing.
At the occasion, El Molla pointed out the importance of the strategic cooperation between the two countries, which aims to increase fields of joint-cooperation and share expertise in the different petroleum manufactures, including the exploration and discovery.
This cooperative relation further aims to share expertise in petroleum and natural gas production, development and maintenance of infrastructure, establishing pipelines and oil and gas transmission networks, as well as training the human capital working in the oil and gas industry.
