Egyptian butane imports decreased by 8.36% year-on-year (YOY), reaching 239,000 tons in January 2019, compared to the 260,800 imported in January 2018, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
Statistics published by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) reveal that butane production grew by 5.66% YOY, reaching to 168,000 tons in January 2019 from 159,000 tons in the same month of 2018.
The country’s butane consumption fell by 4.46%, with 387,500 tons in January 2019 compared to 405,600 tons in the January a year earlier.
Egypt’s monthly butane imports increased by 18.9% from the 201,000 tons of butane imported in December 2018.
