Egyptian butane imports decreased by 18.78% year-on-year (YOY), reaching 160,000 tons in February 2019, compared to the 197,000 imported in February 2018, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
Statistics published by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) reveal that butane production increased by around 9.96% YOY, reaching 159,000 tons in February 2019, up from 144,600 tons in the same month of 2018.
The country’s butane consumption fell by 6.69%, with 332,000 tons in February 2019 compared to 355,800 tons in the February a year earlier.
Egypt’s monthly butane imports dropped by 33.05% from the 239,000 tons of butane imported in January 2019.
