Egypt-Turkey Energy MoU Signing Signals New Era in Bilateral Cooperation

According to the Joint Declaration of the First Meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between Turkey and Egypt, both parties have welcomed the signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in the fields of energy, finance, environment, construction, and health.

The two countries highlighted the importance of close cooperation in the field of energy and developing dialogue on bilateral relations, joint projects and investments, as well as supporting cooperation in the energy transition, specifically in the areas of renewable energy and energy efficiency based on the principle of mutual benefit.

The MoUs signing came during President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi first official visit Turkey at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
