Egypt will connect new areas to the national gas grid, including Tanash in Giza, Maghagha in Minya, Abu Kebir and Faqous in Sharqia in October 2018, Egypt Oil & Gas.
This was reviewed during the regular meeting chaired by Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla to follow up work on the project to connect households to the grid.
A total of 150,000 households have contracted to be connected to the grid during the past two months, which is currently under way in order to encourage more citizens to contract for the service.
Around 6000 households in the Asmarat 1 and 2 neighborhood have been contracted since the beginning of September, and work is being done to connect the households to the grid.
