Egypt to Cancel Siemens Plants’ Evaluation Contract

The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Mineral Resources will cancel the contract meant for technical evaluation and management of Siemens power plants. The contract was with an international firm to be helping the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) in the evaluation and management, reported Daily News Egypt.

According to the agreement of the Ministry of Electricity and Siemens, commercial operation capacities will reach up to 4,800 MW through Beni Suef, Borollos, and the New Administrative Capital power plants during March.

Sources at EEHC stated that three companies submitted technical and financial offers to win the contract and EEHC officials will study the new offers.
