Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, chaired the meeting of the governmental committee formed upon the instruction of the Prime Minister to follow up on the national project to transfer Egypt into a regional energy hub, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The meeting reviewed the final draft of the project’s strategy after receiving comments from different ministries and authorities.
Authorizing the strategy will be followed by assigning specific tasks to different government authorities to work according to the plan.
The committee includes representatives from different ministries and authorities among its members.
Turning Egypt into a regional energy hub is a national target, in which all the ministries and institutions are cooperating and integrating to ease any obstacles or challenges and ensure achieving this project in time, El Molla stated.
