Egypt Plans to Have1000 NGVs Stations: El Molla

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, stated that Egypt plans to increase the number of natural gas vehicles’ (NGVs) stations to 1000 across the country in light of the presidential initiative of converting vehicles to run on natural gas as their number stood at 208 stations before the initiative, a press release reported.

El Molla’s remarks came during a meeting with senior officials in the sector to review the implementation of the program to expand the usage of natural gas as fuel for cars.

El Molla added that 185 stations entered the service in the last months and there are another 71 that have started preparation to enter the service soon.

The minister gave directives to accelerate finalizing the stations especially in the vital regions, which have high traffic.

In addition, El Molla induced the partner companies in this project to intensify their efforts in implementing the stations.
