Egypt’s natural gas production is expected to reach 8 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d) during fiscal year (FY) 2019/20 due to completing and operating natural gas development projects, said Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The minister made his statement during the general assembly of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), which was held to review the company’s budget plans.

El Molla pointed out the continuous efforts exerted by the oil and gas sector to achieve a strategic vision to attract foreign investments to carry out new discoveries and development projects.

The success achieved by securing local market’s demands in the field of exploration and production (E&P) led to sustainability of energy supply in the local market, El Molla noted.
