Egypt, Libya Discuss Cooperation

The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, met with board member of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Jadallah Hamed Aloakali, and an accompanying delegation of Libyan oil companies’ chairmen to discuss the various petroleum activities and a number of petroleum topics of common interest, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The minister pointed out the support that Egypt gives to the Libyan people and its institutions, praising the role played by the NOC to enhance the oil and gas industry and to create a suitable environment for its people.

During the meeting, the minister and his guests reviewed the results of the workshop held between the Libyan delegation and the leaders of the Egyptian petroleum sector.

El Molla highlighted the importance of starting a joint working group to be headed by the ministry’s first undersecretary and a member of the NOC. This group would regularly communicate to discuss joint projects between the two countries and to present their results to the Egyptian minister of petroleum and the president of the NOC.
