A press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated that the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Renewable Energy, Tarek El Molla, met with the Jordanian Prime Minister, Hani Al Mulki, along with the country’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ibrahim Sief, the Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan, Tarek Adel, and the Jordianian-Egyptian Fajr Egypt’s CEO, Fouas Rashad.
During the meeting, the Jordanian Ministry of Energy, along with Fajr Egypt, signed a protocol to reprice natural gas to be transported to Jordanian factoris, reported Al Borsa. Rashad said that the protocol aims to regulate the pricing mechanism of the natural gas sold by Fajr Egypt to Jordanian Manufacturers.
Furthermore, the parties discussed cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas sector, as well as future collaborations in investment opportunities in energy. The talks focused on possible bilateral arrangement on the importation of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Al Mulki, added that it is important to leverage that Egyptian expertise in the field through increased cooperation between Egypt and Jordan.
