Egypt’s Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee has adjusted the fuel prices and increased them by EGP 0.25 per liter for Q3 2021, according to a statement.
As of July 23, the prices per liter are as follows; octane 80 at EGP 6.75; octane 92 at EGP 8; and octane 95 at EGP 9. As for diesel and mazut fuel, prices remained at EGP 6.75 per liter and EGP 3,900 per ton respectively.
This decision was driven by the average prices of Brent crude in the global energy market and the value of the Egyptian pound against the US dollar. The committee’s recommendations came in light of the current conditions the world is going through, including extreme fluctuations in oil global prices, the COVID-19 pandemic and global oil output cuts.
