As part of his participation in ADIPEC 2023, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held a meeting with  Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al-Kharabsheh and Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayad.

The meeting tackled a number of areas of joint cooperation in the fields of oil, gas, and mining; in addition to ways to expand and enhance collaboration with both countries.

The three leaders also reviewed the expansion of Egyptian petroleum companies operating in Jordan in providing their services to the Jordanian market and industry in light of the growing relations, business and integrated cooperation between the two sides.

The tripartite meeting further discussed supporting the Lebanese side in building expertise and capabilities in the field of the oil and gas industry.  It also touched on preparing Lebanon to offer new areas for research and exploration of oil and gas in light of the country’s efforts to benefit from its wealth in natural resources after its success in demarcating the borders.
