The Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) announced to extend the deadline of the bid rounds for gold exploration in its second round to be on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 12 pm Cairo time instead of mid-March.

This happened due to the circumstances of the Coronavirus pandemic, and to give better chance to investors to participate in the bid round.
