Egypt’s diesel consumption increased by 10% year-on-year (YOY) in February 2019, recording 1.118 million tons, compared to 1.016 million tons consumed in February 2018, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
Statistics published by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed that the country’s diesel output dropped by 3.3% in February 2019, recording 497,000 tons, compared to 514,000 tons produced in the same month a year before.
On the other hand, monthly figures showed that diesel production fell by around 4.05% from the 518,000 tons produced in January 2019. Yet, the country’s consumption slightly grew by 0.27%, up from the 1.115 consumed in January 2019.
