A press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated that Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla, met with a delegation of Indian businessmen and representatives of The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) headed by Undersecretary of the Indian Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ajit Jupta, in efforts to discuss bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Indian Ambassador to Egypt, Sanjay Bhattacharyya, El Molla highlighted the strong relations binding Egypt and India at political and economic levels, which could help boost joint investments, especially in view of Egypt’s willingness to carry out more development projects to achieve economic growth.
In addition , El Molla discussed with the Indian delegation ways of cementing joint cooperation in the oil domain and the available investment opportunities in the fields of petroleum and petrochemicals.
The Indian delegation expressed willingness to cooperate with Enppi and Petrojet to implement oil and gas projects in the Gulf as these companies have already achieved great success in their work outside Egypt.
