As the center of gravity when it comes to breaking deals with energy majors, EGYPES 2024 witnessed the signing of many memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and agreements. These include:
EGPC, Halliburton Enters Agreement on Drilling Wells Services
The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) has entered into an agreement with Halliburton to establish the Central Drilling Data Repository (CDDR) to follow up on and analyze the well drilling and maintenance operations at the EGPC, in addition to collecting and analyzing well drilling reports by using Halliburton’s technologies.
The agreement was signed by the Chairman of EGPC Alaa El Batal and Halliburton’s North Africa Vice President Ahmed Helmy.
EGPC Signs Commercial Marketing Agreement with Dragon Oil
The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) has signed an agreement with Dragon Oil for marketing amounts of North Safa and Alwasl fields production which are located in the Gulf of Suez in order to export their interests of the additional crude production from the two fields.
The agreement came after the two fields started production successfully and this will achieve mutual economic both for both parties and will boost the Egyptian crude value in the international market.
The agreement was signed by the Chairman of EGPC Alaa El Batal and the CEO of Dragon Oil Ali Rashid Al Jarwan.
EGPC, Lukoil Ink E&P Agreement for West Ash El Meleiha
The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) has inked an agreement with Lukoil for exploration and production at West Ash El Meleiha in the Eastern Desert.
According to the agreement, the company is committed to pumping more investments for drilling three development wells and exploring another two, which will lead to increased production. The agreement was signed by the Chairman of EGPC Alaa El Batal and the Director of Lukoil Egypt, Andrei Liakhov.
EGPC Enters Cooperation with TotalEnergies for Marketing Jet Fuel
Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and TotalEnergies, on behalf of ADNOC, have agreed to cooperate to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of stations and jet fuel management and distribution.
The transaction includes accreditation of the current laboratories by an internationally recognized entity and periodic inspection of aviation warehouses and jet fuelling stations.
It also comprises the provision of the required support to improve the evaluation and feedback of airline inspections (IATA), training workers in the aviation sector on the latest quality standards, transferring knowledge, providing technical support and capacity support related to the energy transition and sustainability as well as evaluating other projects in the aviation sector and stations’ expansions.
The agreement was signed by the Chairman of EGPC Alaa El Batal and the Managing Director of TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt Thomas Strauss.
EGPC, CORC, LabWare Ink Services Contract in LIMS
The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Cairo Oil Refining Company have inked a services contract with LabWare for providing and operation of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). According to the contract, the program will be provided, operated, trained, and linked to the laboratory equipment as well as to ERP systems.
The contract was signed between Cairo Oil Refining Company’s (CORC) Chairman, Wael Rizk and Managing Director at LabWare, Waqqas Asif.
Sidpec Signs MoU, Framework Agreement at EGYPES 2024
Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (Sidpec) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hitachi Zosen Inova AG (HZI).
The MoU was signed by Mohamed Ibrahim, Chairman of Sidpec, and Touffik Fredj and Fabio Dinale, Vice Presidents of Hitachi Zosen.
The signed MoU aims to set the basic framework for the agreement between the two companies for Hitachi to provide engineering design services for the project to establish a methane gas production unit on the land available to Sidpec to be used in Sidpec’s production operations using carbon dioxide and hydrogen gases available to the company.
Sidpec also signed a framework agreement for partnership with Korra Energi Company. The agreement was signed by Ibrahim and Mohammad Ayman Farid, President of Korra Energi Company. According to the agreement, the criteria and determinants of the strategic partnership between Sidpec and Korra Energi are determined with the aim of establishing a joint-stock company for long-term cooperation and partnership in the fields of energy efficiency and sustainability in the Egyptian market and the region.
This comes as the company aims to become a leading company in the field of design, construction, operation, maintenance, and management of environmentally friendly energy efficiency systems specializing in industrial applications for the petrochemical, oil and gas industries.
New Company on Path to Supplying Ships with Green Fuel
The committee formed by the Prime Minister’s decision No. 2772 of 2018 Issued a temporary license which is concerned with following up on the implementation of the new ship bunkering system to OCI HyFuels.
Witnessed by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, the license was issued by the committee chaired by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The committee’s members include the Ministry of Transport, the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone, and the Suez Canal Authority.
GASCO Signs New Agreements in Hydrogen, Emissions Reduction Fields
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has witnessed the signing of two cooperation agreements between the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) and other partners.
He first signed agreements with RINA with the aim of cooperating to benefit from the expertise of RINA in the field of mixing hydrogen with gas.
Ganope, SLB Sign MoU to Exploit Geothermal Energy
Another memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope) and Schlumberger (SLB) to explore how geothermal energy can generate electricity.
The MoU was signed between Ashraf Bahaa, Chairman of South Valley Company (Ganope), and Sherif Bayoumy Managing Director of SLB Egypt, Sudan, and East Mediterranean.
The two parties agreed to study the technical and economic feasibility of cooperation regarding establishing geothermal power plants and providing related services. They also agreed to explore the best locations and the feasibility of using geothermal energy to generate electricity.
EGPC, Eni Sign MoU to Boost Sustainability, Competitiveness Initiatives
The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Eni to boost sustainability and competitiveness initiatives across Egyptian business system.
According to this MoU, EGPC and Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) will join the OPEN-ES in order to enhance sustainable development for the industrial supply and competitiveness within the business ecosystem in Egypt, exchanging experiences and highlighting best practices.
The MoU was inked between the Chairman of EGPC, Alaa Al Batal and the Managing Director of Eni Egypt Mattia Campanati.
Enppi Signs Two MoUs with Huawei to Push the Wheel of Digitalization, Green Digital Energy
Enppi has inked two memoranda of understanding (MoU) with Huawei aiming to provide developed technological solutions in the sector of energy, petroleum and digital energy to contribute to providing clean, stable, low-carbon energy supplies at the lowest cost, and enhancing digital and technical transformation in Enppi projects.
