Salah Abdel Kerim, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), called for higher oil and gas production as South Dabaa Petroleum Company (DAPETCO), PetroNefertiti, PetroKarim and Rahmi reviewed their FY 2025/26 results.
During DAPETCO’s general assembly, Abdel Kerim stressed the need to balance production growth with occupational health, safety and environmental protection. He also called on partner HBS to provide the equipment needed to carry out the company’s drilling plan without interrupting rig operations.
Sayed Selim, Executive Managing Director of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), called via video conference for DAPETCO to increase production amid growing demand for natural gas and use artificial intelligence tools to improve the accuracy of exploration activities.
Sayed Beshendi, Chairman and Managing Director of DAPETCO, presented the company’s results, which showed production of 3,230 barrels of oil and condensates and 23 mmcf/d. DAPETCO drilled four wells, including two exploration and two development wells, and evaluated 11 exploration prospects. The company also continued projects to reduce diesel consumption and increase reliance on the electricity grid, while energy efficiency measures saved about $374,000 and cut emissions by around 874.89 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.
Separately, Waleed Afifi, Chairman of PetroNefertiti, PetroKarim and Rahmi, presented their FY 2025/26 results, showing total production of around 6,909 barrels of oil and condensates and 2.71 million cubic feet of gas per day. George Kuzma, Regional Manager of Dana Petroleum, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to investment in Egypt and further drilling.
The reviews follow another round of FY 2025/26 general assemblies on August 24, when PetroAmir reported average production of 973 barrels per day and Abdel Kerim stressed the need to raise output.
A day earlier, Alamein Petroleum reported FY 2025/26 production of 613,200 barrels from the Horus and East Abu Sennan fields, meeting 100% of its production target, while PetroZenima reviewed plans to increase production and develop reserves.
