Overall consumption of diesel edged up in September and October to 2.5 million tons, an official at the Egyptian General Petroleum Company (EGPC) told Amwal Al Ghad.
In July and August, Egypt consumed 2.4 million tons of diesel.
Earlier this month, an official at EGPC told Al Mal News that demand for diesel fuel had fallen by 12% since this summer to 44 million liters per day (approximately 38,940 tons per day).
