The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) distributed 300,000 butane cylinders within the last week, Amwal Al Ghad reports.

Lower temperatures are driving consumption upward, the newspaper reports.

Distribution rates had hovered in the range of 225,000 cylinders per week, the Head of EGPC, Abed Ezz El Regal, said. These cylinders were distributed through EGPC’s network of 17 warehouses throughout the country.

Companies in the sector are coordinating with the Ministry of Supply to ensure that demand for butane is fully met across the country.
